In 2010, husband and wife Vaughan and Cushla Majendie took ownership of Colorit Glass Splashbacks. Having discovered the company when doing their own kitchen renovations they were impressed with the quality and style, so decided to take over the company when the opportunity came up to buy it.
Along the way new glass splashback products have been developed, including the Reflector Mirror range of colours, Digital Images that are printed directly to the glass, as well as a huge range of colours via the specialist paint system, matching almost any colour via spectrometer.

Colorit Glass Splashbacks is a member of Window & Glass Association NZ and a certified EnduroShield applicator.
Kitchen splashbacks are available in a range of finishes, from painted glass to toughened mirror glass. We can also provide glass fronts for cabinets, benchtops, islands and tabletops.
Bathroom splashbacks can be installed around showers, baths, and vanity units, as well as in laundries. Glass provides the best protection for all wet areas in your home.
Make your splashback easy to keep clean with EnduroShield
The EnduroShield Easy Clean Coating glass protection makes your glass easy to keep clean and looking like new. It is designed so you don't need to use harsh chemical cleaners. White vinegar is all you will need as your new glass cleaner. EnduroShield stops grease, fats, spices and anything else that can stain from becoming embedded in the glass surface. It's great for splashbacks, showers, glass balustrades and even your home's windows!
Our team can apply EnduroShield to your new splashbacks in the factory before installation, or if you have an existing glass surface to protect, we can do it on site as well.
We've invested in high quality machinery and products, including European-made resin paint. This paint is specifically designed to adhere to glass, ensuring the best finish on each of our splashbacks.

Colorit Glass Splashbacks offers a free in-home consultation to help you decide on the best option for your splashbacks. We can help you with colour choices or to select the images that you would like printed.
We will come to you to take accurate measurements using a laser to ensure the best fit possible. If you have power points or switches, we can cut holes in the glass, so they sit on top of the glass for the best looking finish. Alternatively, if you know what you need, you can send us your specifications and measurements directly.
Once we have all the information we'll put together a quote promptly for you. From acceptance of the quote, it is usually about two to three weeks to installation for painted splashbacks and three to four weeks for digitally printed options.
